Lakes Course

Lakes Course

Right from the opening, the Lakes Course has a timeless feel that demands its player. The large lake edges holes 9, 17, and 18 and during the round, you meet both greens at the edge and half out in the lake. The bunkers on Lakes Course are 74 in number, a few fewer than on Links Course but with a total bunker area that is almost three times as large. Here, bunkers are obstacles to be reckoned with.

There are seven different tees to choose from and tee 59, where the course length is just under 6000 meters, is experienced as sufficient for most people. You can choose to play the course shorter with advantage and joy. It’s easier to feel good then. The surrounding forest with its famous sheer greenery in spring and with a colorful palette in yellow, brown, and red when autumn comes. Wildlife is constantly present for those who have their eyes open. Both deer and fallow deer can give the experience additional dimensions. And sometimes you wish that the joy that mostly hovers over the course could help find the ball in the ruff.

Lakes Course was inaugurated on May 29, 2010, by current European Tour winner Peter Hanson and course architect Kyle Phillips. In both 2014 and 2015, the European Tour competition Nordea Masters was played on the course and was praised by both players and audiences.
